Artist statement / Jun Inoue
The artwork will live on.
I believe artwork lives when it leave my hands and becomes yours.
Here are my works of art that have been created over the past 10 years.
As an artist, as a father, as my wife’s partner, and as a human being, these works were born out of happiness, anguish, contradiction, conflict, and various emotional scenes.
What kind of works are they? What is the title?
There is always a need to verbalize. However, there is a limit to verbalizing thoughts and tangible things, and my paintings are more independent.
The artwork will be completed when it is accepted by someone else.
By having you accept them as you feel, and weave them into the story of your life that you have been spinning, and interpret them in your own way, these works will continue to live on.
My work has white space. A space for noticing the creativity that is supposed to be inherent in us. I believe my artwork will be completed and live on from the time someone accepted my artwork.
I hope that my artwork will reach into your heart.
May the world be filled with creativity.

Artist Statement
作品が生き続ける。
作品はあなたのものになることにより、生き続けることができる。
ここに、約10年間のわたしの作品たちがある。
アーティストとして、父として、妻のパートナーとして、いち人間として、幸せや苦悩、矛盾や葛藤、いろんな感情の場面で生まれた作品たちだ。
どんな作品か？ タイトルは？
常に言語化を求められることがある。
しかし、想いや目に見えるものを言語化しても限界があるし、私の絵はもっと自由だ。
あなたに受容してもらうことで、絵が完成する。
あなたが感じたまま咀嚼し、今まで紡いできた自分の人生の物語に織り交ぜて、自分なりに解釈してもらうことで、この作品たちが生き続ける。
わたしの作品には、余白がある。
絵と言葉の絡まりをときほぐし、本来備わっているはずの創造性を呼び覚ますための余白だ。
受け入れられた作品は、その誰かのなかで生き続けることができる。
あなたの心の余白に届きますように。
そして、世の中に余白が生まれますように。
